All About Poker

Poker is one of the mainly admired card games in which players gamble on the value of the card combination in their possession, by placing a bet into a central pot. How to Play Poker?

The cards are ranked in descending order starting from the highest;

There are four suits; spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs, but no suit is higher than another.

Each player is dealt five cards and is called a hand. The hand highest in ranks wins. In some Poker Room games there are Wild Cards or Jokers, which can be labeled whatever suit and rank the possessor wishes to.

The ranking of poker hands starting from the highest are as follows:

1. Royal Flush - Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace. All of the same suit
2.Straight Flush - Five sequenced cards of the same suit
3. Four of a Kind - Four cards of equal rank
4. Full House - Three cards of equal rank, with two ranks of equal rank
5. Flush - Five cards of the same suit
6.Straight - Five cards in a sequence
7.Three of a Kind - Three cards of equal rank
8.Two Pair - Two sets of two cards of equal rank
9.One Pair - Two cards of equal rank
